Ask Geetha what her role in the world of education is, and her immediate response is “a learner”. She believes that in order to deliver value to other members of the education community – whether it’s teachers, students, leaders, managers or parents – it’s imperative to never stop learning.

Over 30 years, Geetha has lent her expertise to schools as an English specialist, member of senior management team, headmistress, consultant, teacher trainer and mentor. Her experience delivering the IB, CIE, ICSE and CBSE curricula combined with her personal student experiences in India and South East Asia uniquely qualify her to guide and mentor schools across the country such as GCIS Bangalore, Sat Paul Mittal Ludhiana, and Velammal Group Chennai. Geetha has also been instrumental in shaping the education scene of Visakhapatnam over the last eight years, especially in implementing internationalism. She’s an Examiner and Monitor for the Examiner Panel in India  for Trinity College London, an AFS Programmes volunteer leading their Vizag chapter, and an active participant and alumnus of the Asia-Europe Foundation.

 

It’s been 30 years, but Geetha believes she’s yet to come across a child as mischievous as she was in school!
